Beginners Run Course

Have you been inspired by someone else’s running? Have you tried it yourself but find it all a bit….difficult?

Well guess what? This is a 0-5k beginners running club that can get you from that first step out the door (which is the hardest one, even for experienced runners) and over a period of 8 weeks, progress toward non-stop running for five kilometers. Its up to you how much further you go after that!
Running is more fun if you do it with others. Especially when you’re just starting out. Having people around you can motivate you when you would otherwise stay on the sofa, they can inspire you, make you forget that what you’re doing is more than you thought you could and also become lifelong friends.

The 8 week course will include one group session a week, covering how to warm up properly, stretching, simple strength & conditioning exercises and of course, some actual running too.
The group will never go too fast for anyone, everyone will have a red face, and everyone will be out of breath – so don’t worry.

The courses are led by me, Dave. I’m a UK Athletics qualified Run Leader, I’ve run two marathons since I took up running 3 years ago and my next goal is to get other people running who always thought they couldn’t.
